NVKIDS: Complete Child Support & Health Insurance

During my tenure at smartData Enterprises Inc., I was extensively engaged in a significant project centered around a child health insurance organization. This experience was pivotal as it allowed me to lead the redesign of their platform and establish comprehensive design systems. This hands-on role empowered me to effectively apply and enhance my skills in a practical setting.

About
NVKIDS is a specialized platform focused on child support, obligations, and health insurance. It provides comprehensive coverage and services tailored to the healthcare needs of children, ensuring access to essential medical care and support. By addressing both support obligations and health insurance, NVKIDS promotes the well-being and development of young individuals.

Problem Statement
This project is about redesigning the NVKIDS dashboard, making it visually appealing, enhancing the functionality and the overall user experience.

My role and responsibilities
I was tasked with creating a design system for NVKIDS and redesigning it, focusing on visuals and interaction design elements such as grids and forms. This involved ensuring cohesive visual aesthetics and intuitive user interactions throughout the platform.
This also includes following the guidelines of ‘Pencil & Paper’ for the tables designs.

Exploring
The problems in the current flow, assessing the flow of competitors products and finding areas of improvements.

Prioritizing
The changes to be done in NVKIDS flow (grids and forms) and creating design system.

Auditing
The new design system and checking what all components we need to create.

Getting Feedback. Solving Problems. Giving it Skin.
This stage involved:
1. Redesigning some sections after getting feedbacks on wireframes from stakeholders.
2. Infusing NVKIDS new design system into the flow.

And finally after arguing a lot with PMs & having countless cups of coffee, let me show it to you now a brand new experience.
